2.     On new plastics it is necessary every time to wash the plastics with soap and water and then dry to remove oil residues from industrial processing.

3.     In winter, apply adhesive graphics at an ambient temperature as close to 20°C as possible. Indoors would be perfect.

4.     Once the graphic has been applied, you can help yourself with a hairdryer in the most critical points (corners, folds, etc.), but be careful to keep the temperature of the hairdryer low and not to overdo it, as overheating the graphic will cause the glue to deteriorate. Heat just enough to soften at the critical point.

5.     Once the graphic has been applied, check that there are no bubbles or bulges, (you can use a plastic spatula without sharp edges and slowly bring the bubble outwards) check that the edges and folds are perfectly positioned by running a finger over the adhesive several times.

6.     When the work is finished, peel the very fine transparent protective film. It looks invisible but there is.

TIPS AND TRICKS

1.     Leave plastics with the graphics applied at a temperature above 20°C for at least 24 hours before use. This is to give the adhesive time to complete the adhesion process and to take the shape of the plastic. Be aware that adhesives always have a memory effect and tend to revert to their original shape, i.e. flat, so occasionally run your hand over the graphics while pressing lightly to maintain the shape of the plastic.

2.     Many customers prefer to apply the graphics with the plastics mounted on the bike, as they stay in place... it's almost as if you have a helper holding the plastic in place, so you have both hands free to manoeuvre the graphics. This is probably the best method of applying them, except when the ambient temperature is low like in winter. In that case, it is always better to apply the graphics indoors.

3.     We absolutely discourage the use of soap and water or other tricks to ensure that in the event of bad or incorrect application the graphics can be repositioned easily. We know that those operations might helpful, but they compromise the correct adhesion of the adhesive on the plastic by creating bubbles and detachment. You just need time and a little experience.
