Alpinestars has introduced a new internal standard for the SM3 helmet to test the helmet's chin guard under more severe conditions than the homologation standard. To exceed Alpinestars' new standards, both the shell thickness and the helmet design structure have been optimised in the chin area for superior impact performance.
The inner and outer surfaces are designed to minimise the effects of oblique impacts.
Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads to allow for safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still being worn, while the 3D moulded foam ensures rider comfort.
The soft fabric chin strap is 25mm wide for optimal safety and rider comfort.
Stainless steel D-rings ensure a tight and secure fit.
