Cylinders are the aftermarket engine part in which Athena has been constantly investing for over ten years to improve their production and performance. The company's engine cylinders and cylinder kits are recognized worldwide for their performance, durability and reliability. Fully engineered in Italy by the Athena R&D department, which relies on in-house know-how and state-of-the-art tools to design and test each cylinder, they are coated with motor-nicksil, a nickel-silicon coating developed by Athena for optimal smoothness and wear resistance.

The Big Bore cylinder kit developed by Athena delivers a performance increase noticeable along the power curve, while always maintaining reliability equal to that of the original components.

The kit includes the big bore aluminum cylinder with galvanic coating, 5-port barrel design, cylinder head with interchangeable central dome, flat-top cast piston with two rings, special Ergal valve with nickel treatment, and the necessary gaskets.

All components of the cylinder kit have been designed, manufactured and tested through rigorous track tests and static and dynamic bench tests to ensure maximum resistance to high pressures and temperatures.

This cylinder kit can be installed without any modification to the bike's crankcases.
