Cylinders and cylinder heads are fully engineered in Italy by the Athena R&D department, backed by in-house know-how and state-of-the-art tools to design and test each component. The replacement head inserts (domes) for 2-stroke engine cylinder heads are developed by Athena to be perfectly compatible with the original cylinder and to guarantee the same performance as the original part even at extreme temperatures and pressures. These interchangeable domes allow maximum flexibility in customization.

Athena cylinder heads and domes are designed, built and tested with rigorous track and static and dynamic bench tests to guarantee maximum performance in all conditions.
