The Quad Lock MAGâ„¢ Universal Adapter features our secure locking mechanism, is compatible with all Rotate and Fixed mounts, and can be applied directly to phones, cases, and most flat metal or plastic surfaces.
SURFACE GUIDELINES
The Quad Lock Universal Adapter uses a 3Mâ„¢ VHB 4952 adhesive that adheres to smooth, non-rough, and non-porous surfaces such as:
PC, ABS, PVC, Nylon, and Acrylic plastics
Unpainted metals
Uncoated glass
The adhesive does not adhere to the following materials:
Rubber, TPU, and TPE
Leather
Silicone
Glass with a hydrophobic coating (also known as anti-fingerprint glass, found on the back of most modern smartphones)
Soft-touch coatings or paints
Low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acetal, and HDPE
Wood
It is strongly recommended that you use a case with the Universal Adapter if your phone has a glass back.
