A clean sweep for Herlings in the 450 class. A one-two for Sacha Coenen in the 250 class.

Jeffrey Herlings also won the second race of the MXGP championship in Sweden. Following a nasty crash involving Jago Geerts and Kevin Brumann, the race was stopped with a red flag two minutes before the scheduled finish. Herlings entered the first corner in fourth place, before quickly taking the lead. Behind Herlings, Romain Febvre finished second, ahead of Tim Gajser, Tom Vialle and Ruben Fernandez. In the battle for the World Championship, Herlings (735 points) now holds a 116-point lead over Romain Febvre (619 points), whilst Tim Gajser (575 points) has moved up to third place.

250:

Sacha Coenen also dominated the second MX2 race at Uddevalla. These were Coenen’s first race wins since suffering a collarbone injury. Liam Everts once again finished second behind Coenen, ahead of Camden Mc Lellan, Guillem Farres and Simon Längenfelder. Sacha Coenen, Liam Everts and Camden Mc Lellan took the podium places. MX2 championship leader Guillem Farres finished fourth. He lost 17 points to Coenen in the overall standings, meaning Farres’ lead over the Belgian has been reduced to 24 points.
