Tomac will miss the remaining races of the season to recover from his neck injury.

NATIONAL: Tomac out with neck injury

Following further medical examinations carried out last week, it has been confirmed that Tomac sustained a neck ligament injury and a partial muscle tear in the crash that occurred in California last Saturday. Consequently, the American rider has been forced to temporarily suspend his racing commitments to focus entirely on his recovery. Below is the team’s statement.

KTM Racing:

‘Scans carried out last week confirmed that Eli has suffered a neck ligament injury and a partial muscle tear. Consequently, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider will be forced to sit out the AMA Pro Motocross Championship for an indefinite period. Get well soon, ET3. We can’t wait to see you back on the track.’
