Talviku to replace Forato.

Fantic welcomes Jörgen-Matthias Talviku

The Fantic Factory Racing MXGP Team is delighted to announce that Jörgen-Matthias Talviku will be competing as a replacement rider on the Fantic XXF 450 ahead of the home Grand Prix, to be held in Flanders, Belgium. With Alberto Forato still recovering following successful surgery on his left shoulder blade, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku will line up alongside Brent Van Doninck, enabling Fantic to field two factory XXF 450 bikes in the highly anticipated Flanders Grand Prix. The 23-year-old Estonian has already competed in several GPs this season, achieving an excellent eighth place as his best result in the second race of the Latvian Grand Prix. “I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to stand in for a rider on the Fantic Factory Racing MXGP team. First and foremost, I’d like to wish Alby a speedy recovery, because it’s never nice to see anyone get injured. Obviously, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. It’s always been a dream of mine to race for a factory team and I’ve got a lot to gain from this project. My first few days with the Fantic team have been fantastic. The team is highly professional and a brilliant group of people to work with. We’ve already done some good testing and I’ve enjoyed riding the factory bike right from day one. The feeling on the track is already excellent. We’ll be doing more testing this week to ensure we’re ready for my debut at Lommel. I’d like to thank Fantic and the team for this opportunity, and all the sponsors for helping me get to this point.”
