Hunter Lawrence and Cole Davies are the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross champions!

One of the most gripping stories of the last fifty years took centre stage on the day, with the Australian brothers from Honda HRC Progressive, Hunter Lawrence and Jett Lawrence, separated by just one point. After an unusually unpredictable afternoon of racing in the 450SMX class, it was Hunter who weathered the storm and triumphed, claiming his first title in the premier class and the prestigious Edison Dye Cup. In the 250SMX class, a season-long battle between Cole Davies of Team Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing and Levi Kitchen of Team Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki was decided in the first race, when misfortune struck Kitchen, allowing Davies to secure victory before the start of the final race. On his nineteenth birthday, the New Zealander became the first New Zealander to win the Gary Jones Cup in 55 years. In the battle for victory in their respective categories, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team enjoyed a triumphant afternoon, coming out on top in the 450SMX class with Spaniard Jorge Prado, who claimed his first victory on US soil, and in the 250SMX class with Julien Beaumer’s second career victory.
