The Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing team has confirmed that Kay de Wolf will miss the remainder of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship season following a crash on Monday.

Kay de Wolf’s 2026 season is over: injury forces him to pull out

The 21-year-old sustained a hand injury in the crash, which will rule him out of the final three Grand Prix rounds of the season in Turkey, China and Australia. De Wolf will also be unable to represent the Netherlands at the FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, on 4 October. This setback brings de Wolf’s debut season in the MXGP championship to a premature end, during which the former MX2 world champion had established himself as a regular contender at the top of the premier class. The Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing team wishes Kay a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him back in top form for the 2027 season.
