Mattia Guadagnini: his time with Van Venrooy KTM Racing comes to an end

Guadagnini spent much of last season sidelined due to an injury and subsequent surgery. The Italian rider has focused entirely on his recovery over the past few months, with the aim of returning to full fitness for the start of the 2027 season. However, it is now clear that his return will not be with the Van Venrooy KTM Racing team. The Italian thanked the team for the opportunity he was given in 2026, but expressed his disappointment that the partnership never had the chance to reach its full potential due to his injury. Guadagnini has not yet revealed much about his future. However, he has expressed his enthusiasm for what the coming weeks will bring, hinting that there may be news on the horizon ahead of the 2027 season. Below are Mattia’s comments.

“The time has come to say goodbye. I’ve spent more than half the season on the sidelines and have done everything I could to recover from surgery and be ready for next year. Unfortunately, I’ve been told that this is no longer the plan. I’m grateful for the opportunity I was given in 2026. It’s a shame we didn’t even have time to get things sorted out and achieve results together.”
