Arnhem hosted a thrilling Dutch Grand Prix, with Jeffrey Herlings and Camden McLellan both claiming the top step of the podium in their respective classes.
Jeffrey Herlings capped off a perfect weekend at the MXGP Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem. After winning the first race, the Dutchman also took the second. With a perfect score of 1-1, Herlings secured victory in the Grand Prix in front of his home crowd. In the second race, Herlings took the lead straight away but came under pressure from Kay de Wolf. De Wolf stayed right on his compatriot’s tail, keeping the pressure on. However, he crashed on the penultimate lap, allowing Herlings to cross the line first without further trouble. Despite the crash, De Wolf managed to hold on to second place. Tom Vialle finished in third place. Glenn Coldenhoff put in an excellent performance in the final Grand Prix of his career, finishing fourth, whilst Romain Febvre took fifth.
Liam Everts won the second MX2 race at the Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem. The Belgian took the lead on the first lap and held on to it right to the finish line. However, the tension soared in the closing stages. Camden McLellan managed to completely close the gap on Everts, finding himself right on the Belgian’s rear wheel in the final laps. Everts kept his cool, made no mistakes and held off the South African’s attacks, securing victory in the race. Guillem Farres crossed the line in third place, ahead of Sacha Coenen and Karlis Reisulis. Thanks to his victory in the first race and second place in the second, Camden McLellan secured overall victory in the Grand Prix. Liam Everts finished in second place, whilst Guillem Farres took third.
