NATIONAL: Round 7 (Spring Creek)

450:

In the 450 class, Hunter Lawrence was unbeatable and dominated both races, securing overall victory. Hunter and Jett Lawrence immediately broke away from the pack in the first race, after Haiden Deegan crashed whilst battling for the holeshot. Hunter controlled the race and won with a thirteen-second lead over Jett, whilst RJ Hampshire finished third and Deegan fought his way back to fourth place. The Lawrence brothers took the lead again in the second race, but Jett overtook Hunter and began to pull away before crashing with five minutes to go, becoming trapped under his bike. Jett fought his way back up to fifth place, handing the lead and overall victory back to Hunter. Deegan moved up to second place, whilst Jorge Prado held off Hampshire’s final charge to finish third. Hunter’s 1-1 double secured him the overall victory, ahead of Deegan (4-2) and Jett (2-5). Hampshire recorded a 3-4 to finish fourth overall, whilst Justin Barcia rounded off the top five with a 5-8. Eli Tomac finished eleventh overall with a 9-12 on his return to the track.

250:

In the 250cc class, Julien Beaumer claimed overall victory after winning the first heat and finishing fourth in the second. The first heat began with a massive crash involving several contenders, including Levi Kitchen and Cole Davies, whilst Casey Cochran crashed at the entrance to the first corner. Michael Mosiman took the lead and appeared to have the race under control, but Beaumer kept pressing and eventually claimed victory ahead of Mosiman and Kayden Minear.
