Hunter Lawrence leaves the race retaining the lead in the standings, but having started with a ten-point advantage, his difficult race has narrowed the gap, bringing the title fight even closer. Roczen’s consistency throughout the season, combined with this result, puts him back in a strong position ahead of the final races, whilst Cooper Webb remains within striking distance after another solid finish. Eli Tomac’s absence due to a crash in qualifying also has an impact on the standings, costing him precious points at a crucial stage and likely knocking him out of the title fight.
