Official: Husqvarna Factory Racing confirms Kay de Wolf and renews contract with Nestaan

De Wolf’s history with Husqvarna Factory Racing began eight years ago, when he joined the programme as a promising 13-year-old talent. Since then, the Dutchman has climbed the rankings to become one of the sport’s leading riders, culminating in his remarkable victory in the MX2 World Championship in 2024. His new deal continues a journey built on loyalty, shared ambition and long-term development. Nestaan’s relationship with Husqvarna dates back to the manufacturer’s return to the FIM Motocross World Championship. Having initially supported the factory team, the Dutch company took over the management of Husqvarna Factory Racing in 2020 and has since helped to establish one of the leading organisations in the paddock. This partnership reached new heights during the historic 2024 season, when Husqvarna Factory Racing clinched both the MX2 Riders’ and Manufacturers’ World Championships, secured victory in 16 of the season’s 20 Grand Prix events, and finished first and second in the final MX2 standings. The renewed agreements build on this success, whilst providing a solid foundation for the future. Looking ahead, Husqvarna Factory Racing is set to embark on a new chapter with an exciting and established line-up of riders. Alongside de Wolf in MXGP, Liam Everts competes in MX2 and remains under contract until the 2027 season, ensuring continuity for the team as it pursues Grand Prix victories and World Championship success. Taken together, the new agreements underline Husqvarna Factory Racing’s long-term vision for the future. With Nestaan, Kay de Wolf (MXGP) and Liam Everts (MX2) all committed to the programme, the team heads into the coming seasons with the shared ambition of continuing to fight for victories and World Titles.
