WSX: The first five venues of the 2026 Supercross World Championship have been announced
The championship kicks off in Calgary, a new venue on the calendar, with McMahon Stadium hosting the first round on 8 August: the Canadian Grand Prix. Set against an iconic backdrop, with the Rocky Mountains visible beyond the stadium, the season-opening event promises to be an exciting, action-packed preview. The race marks a return to Canada for the third consecutive year, whilst the early August date represents another first for World Supercross, as it will allow fans to get a sense of how the field will perform ahead of 2026 and to identify riders who might start to gain momentum. One of the defining features of the 2026 calendar is its global reach. With rounds in North America, Europe, South America, Australia and Africa, the championship continues to expand its reach and connect with fans across different regions. Each round has its own distinct character, whilst the track offers a unique challenge, and this variety plays a key role in determining the outcome of the season. Drivers are tested not only on speed but also on their ability to adapt to different conditions and environments. For fans following the series, this creates a dynamic and unpredictable season, with each round offering something slightly different. With the calendar now confirmed, the focus shifts to the drivers, teams and rivalries that will define the Championship. The opening races will set the tone, the mid-season races will ramp up the pressure, and the final sprint will determine who can deliver their best in the crucial moments. A great result can shape a Championship, but a mistake can just as quickly change it.
