Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing withdraws from the 2026 Motocross of Nations

Yamaha cites the demanding SMX season calendar, the health and recovery of its riders and team members, as well as the logistical challenges and costs associated with participating in the MXoN as the main reasons for the decision. According to Jim Roach, head of Yamaha Racing, the decision was taken following several discussions between the team’s management and Yamaha’s senior leadership. Yamaha wishes to give its riders and staff the time they need to recover after the long American season. Furthermore, the trip to France presents additional logistical challenges, including the transport of the motorbikes and their modification to comply with FIM regulations. This decision means that no potential American riders from the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing Team will be available for the MXoN in Ernée. The team would like to thank the AMA for considering them and also expresses its gratitude to the fans, partners and the motocross community for their understanding.
