Motocross of Nations 2026: Belgium triumphs at Ernée, Netherlands third with Herlings

Belgium won the Motocross of Nations at Ernée, with Liam Everts finishing fourth and Lucas Coenen fifth in the final race, keeping Spain three points behind. The Netherlands finished third. Jeffrey Herlings won the third race, the MXGP-OPEN. The Dutchman crashed in the early stages of the race whilst in third place and was forced to restart from eighth. Herlings managed to make up an 11-second deficit on leader Jorge Prado, going on to win by a margin of 12 seconds. Prado finished second, ahead of Romain Febvre, Liam Everts and Lucas Coenen. With a one-two finish (1-1), Herlings won the Open class, whilst Jorge Prado was the top MXGP rider on two occasions, winning his category. Roan van de Moosdijk had to start from the back of the grid and managed to fight his way back up to 18th place. The Chamberlain Trophy went to Belgium, ahead of Spain and the Netherlands. Latvia finished a surprise fourth, whilst the United States came fifth.
