In addition to the established Shanghai round, the second Chinese Grand Prix will take place on 11 and 12 September 2027.

MXGP 2027: double-header in China with Ziyang joining the calendar

This marks a new milestone for the World Championship in China. For the first time in the history of the MXGP, the country will host two Grand Prix events in the same season. This also confirms the steady growth of motocross in China, one of the world’s fastest-growing motorcycling markets. The timing is significant. In 2027, two Chinese manufacturers will join the FIM Motocross World Championship: ZXMOTO and KOVE. The Chinese brands will therefore be present in the MXGP paddock. The new round in Ziyang forms part of Infront Moto Racing’s long-term strategy to expand into Asia at an early stage and consolidate the championship’s presence in a rapidly growing region. The 18th round will take place in Ziyang, in the Sichuan region, on 12 September 2027.
