The MX2 World Championship is set to be fiercely contested right to the very end this weekend, even though Spain’s Guillem Farres leads by 48 points over his team-mate, Camden McLellan. The title could be decided on Saturday if Farres manages to gain three points on the South African in the qualifying race, so it’s certainly one not to be missed for fans! The bronze medal is also up for grabs, with Sacha Coenen holding a lead of just seven points over his team-mate, Simon Längenfelder. Liam Everts is also in the running, just 26 points behind, and comes into this round on the back of four consecutive podium finishes. The second World Title up for grabs is also the hardest to predict, as it concerns the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, with one race a day to decide the outcome of this season. A generational battle is on the cards between the aggressive 20-year-old Spaniard Daniela Guillen, who holds a six-point lead for the RFME National Team Spain GASGAS, and our legendary Kiara Fontanesi, who is aiming to lead her MXFonta Racing GASGAS team to a seventh World Title – her first since becoming a mother six years ago.
