MXoN 2026: change to the Spanish team – Francisco García replaces Rubén Fernández

It has now been confirmed that the Spaniard will need to undergo surgery and will therefore be unable to recover in time for the Motocross of Nations, which will take place from 2 to 4 October in Ernée, France. The Spanish Motorcycling Federation (RFME) has quickly found a replacement. Francisco García will fill the vacancy in the team. García was crowned European champion in the EMX250 class this season and will once again have the opportunity to represent his country. He was also part of the Spanish team at last year’s Motocross of Nations. Below are the rider’s comments.

Francisco García:

“I am extremely happy and motivated to be competing in the Motocross of Nations for the second time. It’s a huge dream for any rider. We have a strong team this year. I have the experience from last year and I’m sure I can do better. We’re one of the favourites and that motivates me enormously. I’ll be fighting for the Spanish flag right up to the very last lap.”
