The bikes are called the KX327X and KX327 and share the first single-cylinder 2-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection ever developed by Kawasaki: a technical solution that heralds a new era in terms of performance, thanks to an engine with constant torque housed in an incredibly lightweight chassis. The new engine ensures linear power delivery, immediate throttle response and powerful traction even at very low revs. The lightweight KX aluminium perimeter frame, combined with factory-style suspension and Nissin brakes, creates a 2-stroke bike born to race and built to aim for the podium: both in Cross Country/Enduro races with the KX327X, and on Motocross tracks with the KX327. The dual-injection fuel system, developed specifically for this project, ensures consistently responsive throttle response and a smooth torque curve, whilst automatic injection compensation eliminates the need to adjust the carburetion as altitude or weather conditions change. To make power delivery even smoother and reduce vibrations, the engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft, whilst the fuel-to-oil ratio of the simple yet effective pre-mix system is set at 32:1. The 48 mm KYB coil-spring fork, adjustable for compression and rebound, combined with Kawasaki’s legendary fully adjustable Uni-Trak rear suspension (high/low-speed compression, rebound and preload), ensures you can always find the best setting. Furthermore, thanks to the multiple Ergo-Fit adjustments for the handlebars and footpegs, the rider can effectively tailor the bike to their specific needs. From a software perspective, the mappings and other customisations can be managed via smartphone using the “Rideology the App KX2”. ODI lock-on grips complete the package. For motocross enthusiasts, the definitive choice for 2027 is the Kawasaki KX327. Whilst sharing much of its technical underpinnings with its “X” sibling, the KX327 features a five-speed gearbox and a 19-inch rear wheel, instead of the 18-inch wheel fitted to the KX327X. Both, however, are equipped with Renthal handlebars and EXCEL rims, confirming their unquestionably racing-oriented nature.
